The Body Work and New Look of the Nose
The shortened wheelbase needed a shorter body length. The factory extended bumpers made the car look a little like a teeter totter. I decided the front and rear needed to be no longer than the light housings.
Butch came up with the idea of a rolled pan front and rear. To accomplish this..we turned to a 1985 Ford Thunderbird.

The T-bird nose was inverted, clamped into place under the Cougar nose and gaps measured for wooden fillers.

Then it was bondolo time
The finished nose..features a common grille opening with the factory molded plastic Cougar headlights swapped out for the T-bird quad glass ones.
Pretty sporty stance.
