The New Look of the Rear
The extended rear bumper removed, a 4 inch wide by 1/8 inch thick strip of metal was wrapped around the rear under the tail lights at the same contour of the lights. Then the 1985 T-bird deck lid flipped upside down and welded to the previous work to create that smooth rolled pan look.
The new look..smooth...no longer than the tail lights. and reinforced with steel inside. It really is a bumper..just as strong as the original.
