This is "Merc" in March of 2001. This is how it looked in Houston, Texas at the Orange Show where we won First Place Daily Driver.
The hand painted checkerboard has been extended to the tops of the fenders and to the scallops on the roof. click the picture below to see more like this.
The burnt and blistered paint is now all back to white again. The plan is to fill the holes with toys.  The name "Holey Mercatoy'd" comes into being...summer of 2000.

A rusted "Merc" in August of 1999.  Driven home to Florida from New York ...1300 miles.
One way to fix the rust holes..incorporate them into the art by making more holes with a plasma cutter...Spring of 2000
The holes in "Merc" are filled with toys. The name is justified..Fall of 2000.
